The Digital CE Guild is a creation of me Dr. Russell Schafer. I wanted to create a platform for dental continuing education providers to post their courses for no charge. It is run only by me with some input from friends who are also CE teachers. I will post about anyone’s course who asks me to post their course. I ask but don’t require people to link back to this site if I post your content. I know a lot of beginning CE teachers don’t have much control over their content so it would be kinda messed up for me to make this a barrier. If this ever becomes too much for me to do, I may charge a nominal fee which will be no more than whatever I charge for a periapical in my office. However, I plan to keep this about as informal of a process as possible.

While I am a KOL for some companies and get sponsorships from others, there will be no corporate sponsors for this group ever. I am creating this group so that no one ever has to be concerned that their involvement might jeopardize their relationship with their current corporate partners. The Guild will not promote one course over another. I don’t need the money. In-person courses will be listed by date and updated regularly. Courses will be removed monthly after the date has passed. Online courses will currently be listed in the order that they are received. Eventually, online courses will be sorted by topic. The Guild will not make any promises of any course’s quality.

The only other way that I will remove or not post content is that if it is a stolen course. In essence, if someone has copied videos from another CE person’s online course to resell them and wants the Guild to promote the stolen course, the Guild will not promote it.

Finally these rules might change slightly as time moves forward as things are bound to break. While I will be the one to decide upon the final rules, I will be consulting with friends. If anyone wants input on the rules, reach out to me, and I will listen.
